Merry Christmas 2011!!

We have Christmas hangover around here, it was a fun day!!!!  I can't believe how much fun a few kids can make in one month!!!  The magic, the belief, and curiosity are priceless at this age!!  Whit had the moment that stole the show this year however.....I have no idea where it came from, but about 3 days before Christmas, when you asked him what he wanted Santa to bring him he said " a donkey."

So Christmas morning, they all walk out and see the loot.....and the first thing Whit said...." Hey,  where's my donkey?????"  I seriously almost choked on my own spit, I was laughing so hard.  Then he would open something and say," this not my donkey!"  What a kid, thanks goodness for video camera's!!!  Thank you to everyone who made it such a fun month..we love you all!!!

Bring on the new year!!!



Christmas Eve....with new P.J.'s and with Grandma Great!! It was awesome to have her to celebrate with this year!!

The big reveal!!!

Whit got some new tools!!!

 GG and Grandpa gave them new bikes!!! Reese is in heaven, and I couldn't believe how fast Tate got the hang of a BIG, big kids bike!!!

 Whit got a new wheel barrel...it somewhat made up for no donkey!!!

New Boots for Reese, she wore them all day the instant she go them!! They are sparkly she says!!

And to top the night off.....Tate lost his tooth...it has only been dangling from a thread for 3 weeks, and driving me crazy.....( he said he wishes sometimes his mom wasn't a dental hygienist)!!!!  But low and behold it flopped right out at Christmas dinner!!!! Santa and the tooth fairy all in one day!!!

Just A lot of Stuff!

It's a fun month...lots of stuff to do, and we are taking it all in!!!!

The twins have been waiting for 7 months to be able to go to kid fit.  They knew that when it was their birthday they could go.....two days after their birthday, Reese asked when they could go!!!!  THEY LOVED IT!!!!!  Running, jumping, playing...I wish they would have kid fit around 7:30 at night..it would wear them out before bed....best of all they love their two best instructors..Jess, and Steph.  I see a lot of kid fit in our future!!!

The weather has been so nice for the middle of December, we have had to soak up a little sun when we can.  The Jordan River Parkway is right by our house, so we headed out, and took Tank so he could play too.  They have some dirt mounds stored there that are dirt heaven for my kids!!! Next time I am going to take a chair a magazine and a cup of coffee, and it can be mom heaven too!!!

Next was our annual cookie party with the rest of the Taylor gang, and GG and Grandpa!!  Yummy soup, delicious GG rolls, and sugar cookie galore!!!

Reese was totally into it....she loves things like this!!!

And  then off to Garwee's and Pee Pa Scott's...( i know just go with the names) for our other annual party!!!! We are lucky to have such an awesome second family....our kids are buddies, and it makes it so fun for all of us, grandparents and everyone, to have such a good time!!! It was the first year that no one was scared of the jolly old man....they are starting to figure who have to be nice too!! Thank you Garwee for such a fun night!!! 

Happy 3rd Birthday Babies!!!

I guess we will have to stop calling them the babies.....3 years old!!! They were so much fun...and are figuring out the birthday gig!!    Although.... when you ask them how old they are they say 6.  I was trying to get it through that three was the magic number this year, and then finally Whit said, " No I 6, because I get a pocket knife!"  That's how old we told Tate he had to be to use one with supervision!!! They are thinkers!!! Thank you to everyone who came to the party, and for all the cool stuff, they have not wanted to leave the house!! 

 We are so stinkin lucky to have gotten these two, as wild as they are.......they have us all wrapped around their little fingers!!! We love you so much Whit and Reese, and I am still so very grateful on your birthday that we have two healthy, happy, cute as a button little twins!!!! We love you to the moon!!!

Little Pigs Have Big Ears!!!

So last week our poor dog Tank, got in with the cows, and it didn't turn out well for him.  When I finally realized he was in a BAD way, we dropped everything and ran him out to the vet.   Luckily nothing was broke,( which I thought for sure that there was) but he is one sore puppy!  So I had all 3 kids with me, and a 40lb pup that I had to carry in!  of course Tate was so upset.  I couldn't get a hold of anyone to see if they could come get the kids. ( I DID NOT want them there if I had to make that awful decision)!!! Finally I got a hold of GG, and once again she came to the rescue.!!!!

So on their way home they were talking about Tank, and she was reassuring that he would be alright, then my mom said " well we could always get another baby!"

Tate spoke right up..." oh no, we DO NOT need anymore babies at our house!"  " Besides, I heard Uncle Steve ask mom about more babies, and she said, that the baby factory was CLOSED!!!!"
 HAHAHHAHHA!!!

Well he was right!!!!!!LOL!!  Kids crack me up!!! I laughed hard when my mom told me!!!!

Stitches!!!!

We were having such a fun Saturday night.....we had a fire going, we played a little Uno, and then the wrestling started!!!! And you know what they say, it is all fun and games until somebody gets hurt!!!! LOL!  Reese went to jump into Taylor arms but he didn't know that was the plan, and she hit the rock fireplace....right on her eyebrow!!! 

I thought for sure that Whit would be the first ER trip, but Reese beat him to it!!!  I know that I say it all the time that she is little, but scrappy.......the nurse and the Dr. understood completely!!!! At first they chuckled a bit by me saying she was feisty...( like they hear it all the time, which I am sure they do).....BUT......   when it came time to stitching.....it took 4 us us to hold all 24lbs of her down! She was trying to bite the nurses finger the whole time...so hard at times...he thought he might be next in line for a stitch!!!!!   Taylor had the worst part because he was holding her chest down.  My stomach is too weak to handle the oozing...and I was not about to have her look me in the eyes and know that I was part of the meanies holding her down!!  After is was all over I scooped her up and loved on her like I couldn't believe they did that to her!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!! 

So...... .12 stitches later we are on the mend!! Now we have to go have them taken out!!!! Anyone want to go!!!!!??????!!!!!!!

 2 attempts at the topical numbing agent, because she wouldn't hold still!  But then one thing she did like was her pink bracelet!!!!

Yes, that is wet  sweaty hair from her fighting and struggling while they were stitching....we were all leaking by the time they got done!!!
