Holy Crap!!!!

Okay, so here is the thing about twins......well, here is the thing about MY twins......THEY ARE NAUGHTY!!!!!!!!!!  Holy crap!!!!  Now don't get me wrong....the experience of having twins is awesome!!! And there is not a day that passes, that I don't think about how lucky I got!!! They have this bond that is incredible, they play together so good, and are funny and cute!!! BUT, when they are not all of those great things...THEY ARE NAUGHTY!!!!!!!  Seriously I am convinced that Reese is going to be a lawyer.....I have never seen a two year old that likes to argue about every single thing that goes on during the day...... about what she is going to wear, about getting out of the car...BY HERSELF!!!!  About getting her OWN CUP!!! I just keep telling myself that her independence is going pay off one day, but for now, not so much!!!!  Then there is Mr. Whit, he has a smile that will melt your heart, he is so lovey, and snugly........but he is100% boy!!! If he is not roping the dog, he is trying to rope your feet and drag you, or grabbing you around the waist like the WWF for a total take down.  You CANNOT walk past him without flinching because you usually get a full on dead leg from one of his muscle punches, and then he says" do you see that mom, I tough!!"  Yep, I saw it Whit, I am bruised!!!!!! 

AWWWW, and then if they aren't playing together so dang cute. they are fighting like cats and dogs!!!! Reese came equipped with the most shrill screams that my ears have ever heard!!! It is a combination of, that is mine, now back off, and if I do it a little louder and higher, your the one that is going to get in trouble!!!! She has refined this scream, and has it's nearly perfected.  I keep waiting for the new neighbors to knock on our door and ask if everything is okay!!!!! When Whit needs a defensive move, he just sits on Reese, she is pretty much helpless, if it wasn't for that shrill of a scream she has.  It gets attention for good and bad!!!!

I think we have just hit the terrible, terrible two's!!! I mean we have had a mild version, over that last little while, but it has been amped up a couple hundred notches in the last 2 weeks!!! EVEN GG,  has the deer in the head like looks some days!!!!! ( And she didn't even get to hold them til they were a month old!!!) That is her excuse for spoiling them!!!

All in all I love our happy little family, wouldn't change one single crazy moment for nothing!!!! I just had to reflect on the chaos that has taken over so suddenly around here for  some leverage in the future!!!! Until then the coffee shop down the road better not close their drive threw, because some days, it is knowing that the kids will fall asleep on the way out and I can have a little sip of heaven while they are asleep in the form of a Skinny Chai Tea!!!!!!!!  

Family Fun Run!!!

Tate's school was involved in the 5k & Family Fun run this Saturday that opened the new 2100 Corridor in Lehi!!!  We missed Taylor not being there, but he was getting a huge elk out of the canyon, so we let it slide!!!! Tate did so good. They had a 5k or a 1mile run....we did the 1 mile, and he did great!!!! Reese ran a half of a mile without stopping once!!! She would have ran the rest but I made her get in the stroller!!!!!  Whit rode on grandpa's shoulders, he wasn't about to walk!!!! Anyway it was fun, Tate had me make him a Mohawk. he knew that it would make him run faster, and I think it worked!!  There was even something for Whit to enjoy!!

West Canyon Camping!!!

We headed to West Canyon last weekend for a little camping!!! West Canyon is not on my favorites list for places to go......BUT Taylor loves it and so does Tate!!!! I was not that trilled but by the end of the first day, Taylor and Tate were contagious with there passion, and I started to see the big picture of the many memories that will be made there!!!! I really, even though it is the dirtiest place in America...the memories are what really matter!!!!

I got out voted. After 2 other dog attempts, that did not end up great, we have Tank!!! It is amazing how you can not want something at all, and be totally attatched in 45 minutes!!! And the kids LOVE him!!

Kindergarten!!!

First day of Kindergarten!!! I cannot believe it!!! Tate was so excited, he was bouncing of the walls, he was also quite nervous of the unknown!!!! We went the week before and met his teacher Mrs. Rico, and checked out the class, he was all about it!!

I on the other hand, not so sure!!! I wasn't sad that he was going, I was so excited for him to really get to start using that smart little brain of his, the hard part is when I can see the nervousness in his eyes!!!! That is when I start to tear up!!! I kept telling him that if I cry they are happy tears, because I didn't want to have him fall apart!!

So the first day he could hardly stand it he was so excited, we dropped the twins off at GG's and then we went!!! He kept getting quieter the closer we got. Then he is asking who is going to pick him up and all of his worry questions....I was dying inside!!! We went and lined up where his class was, but he didn't want to let go of my hand until he had to. I could hardly look at him...those eyes!!! I had to tell myself that I had to hold it together until I left!!! And that is what I did. Mrs. Rico opened the door, he went and lined up and gave me a wave goodbye!!!!!!AHHHHHHHHH!!!! THAT IS SO HARD!!!!!

I walk back to my car sobbing, Taylor told me to call him when I dropped him off, so I get to the car and call while I'm leaving the parking lot. He asks how was is??? I start to bawl, and Taylor says, " I can see you"!!!!! He was just as bad as me, he was coming to check himself in the work truck!!!!!!!

Luckily Tate's nerves are all over now that he knows what is up!!! So here is to a great year with Mrs. Rico!!! Good luck my little Kindergartner!!!!!

Happy 6th Tater!!!

Tater is 6!!!!!! We had such a fun party this weekend with family and friends, and then on his birthday on the 23rd, we went and celebrated at the Myan, and went Trilobites digging at the Dino Museum at Thanksgiving Point!!!! Tate was in heaven, we have a car load full of trilobites treasures!!! GG, and Grandpa came with us, and it was such a fun day!!! I love my kids birthdays, it is by far my favorite holiday of the year!!! ( yep even Halloween, but it is a very close second!!!) LOL!

This year he wanted an alligator for the cake!!!! And Whit and Reese practiced for a week singing him Happy Birthday!!!!!

This is the Trilobites dig. I recommend it!!! It was really fun!! I think my dad and Taylor got into it just as much as the kids did!!! We were all digging and hammering, and finding all sorts of treasures.......then we looked up, and said.." where is Whit?""" " have you seen Whit, no I haven"t seen Whit!!!

Well.......

He had shimmied through the fence , and walked over to the other side of the building....not to far, but not by us......and this is what I found!!!

He said..." I just ride cow, not find rocks" I told him..buddy it is Tate's birthday and our family is finding rocks, on your birthday, we can ride cows"!! He climbed out of the wagon, and said " "FINE" !!!!!! ( i am big trouble with this one!!)

We really all had a fun time, Reese got totally into it!! Tate found a rock with like 7 trilabites in it, and I thought he was going to pass out!!!! He is one awesome kid!!!

Happy Birthday Tate. I cannot wait for you to start school, and to put that smart little brain to work!!!! You are such a good kid, and a good listener!!! A great big brother, and I still don't know how I got so lucky to be your mom!!!! I love you!!!!
