Wax On--Wax Off!!

Big, Big night last night! Mr. Tate earned his first Karate belt!! Yahooo! He loves this class, and the instructors are really really awesome with this group of little guys! We he came out of the class he was shouting, I got a belt I got a belt!! A proud parent moment, and GG and Grandpa were even there to see it! So when he brought it out I went to put it on over his shirt, but he said "mom over my coat!!" What was I thinking...no one can see it under your coat!!LOL!!! Good job Tater your amazing!!! ( Oh and gotta love the outfit...comfy pants, cowboy boots, and a karate belt!!...doesn't get any better than that!)

Chapter II.....Naughty Babies!!

I think we are finally one the mend around here!!!(knock on wood) The babies are feeling much better, and we haven't been to Alpine Pediatrics, or the hospital once this week!!!!!LOL!!! ( but we do have to go to the ENT!) Reese is back to bossing everyone around, and Whit...well Whit is pure trouble!! Poor Tate is going to have an ulcer before he is 5 from worrying about them, he follows them around the house with his hand on his head like a mother hen saying MOM!!! MOM!!!!! Tate is the worrier..Reese is the bossy little shi*... and Whit doesn't have a care in the world!!!
I was doing laundry and I hear Tate say "WHIT IS ON THE TABLE" at first it went right over my head, then it hit me...what the... Whit is where!!!!

Now we have RSV in he house!! I tell ya......thank goodness for hospitals, and deep suctioning!!! ( Oh and dark chocolate and Coke!! that always makes life feel a little better!)

Sick-Smick

It has been a rough couple of months around here! Well really since October of last year...the twins have caught every sniffle, cough, runny nose, and fever, that has went around....not to mention they both have had one ear infection after another. I honestly have been to Alpine Pediatrics at least once a week for the last month and a half, and at least a couple of times a month before that! Whit did get tubes, but he has battled with ear infection AGAIN over the last 2 weeks! And Reese is seeing the ENT this week to more than likely get hers!!!!! And to top it off this week we added a regime of breathing treatments for them both!! I-YI-YI!!!!!!! I never realized until lately how lucky we were with Tate, he was so healthy, a few sniffles here and there but not much. So around here we are so rooting for spring!!! I cannot wait to see tulips!!!

Trouble in Two's

I knew having twins was going to be hard at times!!!!! And I also knew that it would be double the fun, and it is!!!!! However I was not quite prepared for the naughtiness that has occurred in the last few weeks!!!! These two are NAUGHTY!!!!!! The old saying is true, " What one doesn't think of the other one will!!"" Don't get me wrong their personalities are so stinkin cute, but they are pure MISCHIEF!!!! All those people who said the first year is the hardest, were full of Sh%*!!!! I can tell that for the next couple of years Taylor and I are going to have to be on our game!!LOL! and poor Tate, everyday I let him go in his room and lock the door and play so he can have a break! LOL!

Whit is into EVERYTHING!! He is a monkey and can climb on anything.... I swear he can hear from the other room if someone has forgot to shut the bathroom door, because he makes a b-line for the toilet! Changing his clothes or his diaper anymore is like wrestling with an alligator!!!
And to top it off they are both starting to walk!!! YIKES!!!!!

Reese..... I am not sure how something so little can be so mean, and so loud!! She is a little fireball. She WILL Not let me feed her anymore, she has to do it herself, and will arch her back and throw a fit until she is happy! She pulled Whits hair so hard the other morning, he cried with a quivering lip for 5 minutes, the whole time with a smile on her face! But no matter how hard the day has been, I still can't believe how lucky we were to get two, and I wouldn't trade a thing! Here is a taste of what has been happening at the Taylor Ranch! ( And McKell NO LAUGHING!!!!)

Kararte Kid!

Tate took his first Karate class this week...well actually I think it is Jujitsu??? But either way my calves are sore, from him HIYAing me all the way down the hall! He really liked it and he did so good for being a fish out of water. It is sort of a trial run, because this place usually doesn't take 4 year olds, but Taylor knew the guy, and he said just come and see what he thinks. HE THINKS IT IS GOOD! He did really good for being blind sided, they speak another language and they mean business.

Tate had a little girl named Maddi that was his example, and she was so cute, trying to show him how to do things, and really he caught on pretty quick.. But as proud as I was of my little man, I have also never laughed so hard in my life! You forget that EVERYTHING is learned. Once they had warmed up, they started with somersaults down the mat. Tate was hilarious, he started out with his head on the mat and then just sort of fell to the side with arms and legs flying everywhere but straight ahead. I got giggling so hard!

Anyway, when class was over he asked when he could come back, and by the time we got home, we had to bow before each room we entered, and he had mastered the forward somerault! It was a fun night for him!

A Year Ago Today!

It was a year ago today that we brought Reese home, and completed the Taylor Party of Five! Whit got to come home two weeks before her, and I will never forget how relieved i was to have us all on our own couch! Tate was so proud to have them here, and it was just a GOOD day! It is hard to beleive that the twins are the same tiny little babies that were in those isolets! You guys have come a long way babies!
